Pre Lift is Rule 1 Proteins' most sophisticated pre-workout to date, and the formula justifies that description. Rather than relying on a single large caffeine hit and a handful of standard actives, Pre Lift is built around 25 different active ingredients and six patented or licensed compounds — a level of formulation depth that puts it firmly at the premium end of the pre-workout category. At 14g per serve across 30 serves, every milligram of that scoop is working.

The caffeine system — three sources, extended delivery

Pre Lift uses a three-source caffeine approach designed to deliver a smooth onset, a sustained energy window, and an extended tail rather than a sharp spike and crash.

Caffeine Anhydrous (235mg) provides the fast-acting primary hit. Standard anhydrous caffeine absorbs quickly and delivers rapid onset alertness and energy — this is the engine of the formula.

Infinergy® Di-Caffeine Malate (100mg) is a patented bonded form of caffeine and malic acid that releases more slowly than anhydrous caffeine, helping to extend the energy curve and reduce the sharp drop-off that often follows high-dose anhydrous-only formulas. Infinergy also has a reputation for being easier on the stomach.

zümXR® Delayed-Release Caffeine (30mg) is a microencapsulated caffeine technology specifically engineered to delay release until later in the digestion process. It acts as a tail-end top-up — keeping energy levels supported well into the back half of the session when the faster sources are tapering. The total caffeine across all three sources is 365mg, though 330mg is the figure reflected in the labelled fast-release content. This is a high-caffeine product and is not suited to those with low caffeine tolerance.

Pump and endurance matrix

L-Citrulline (6g) is the backbone of the nitric oxide support, included at a full clinical dose. Citrulline converts to arginine in the kidneys, driving nitric oxide production, increasing blood flow to working muscles, and supporting both the pump and the clearance of ammonia and lactic acid during high-intensity effort.

Beta-Alanine (3.2g) is dosed at the full clinically researched amount. Beta-alanine buffers hydrogen ions in muscle tissue, delaying the onset of the burn associated with high-rep and high-intensity training. The tingling sensation (paraesthesia) experienced by some users is a normal and harmless response to beta-alanine at this dose.

Taurine (1g) supports cell volumisation, hydration within muscle tissue, and has been associated with reductions in exercise-induced oxidative stress.

Electrolyte Blend (500mg) covers four sources: Himalayan Sea Salt (sodium), Potassium Chloride, and Magnesium Oxide, with a combined panel showing 150mg sodium, 50mg potassium, and 270mg chloride per serve. Electrolyte balance during training supports muscle function, nerve signalling, and fluid retention in working tissue.

Focus and cognitive matrix

Alpha-GPC (200mg) is one of the most bioavailable choline sources available, crossing the blood-brain barrier to raise acetylcholine levels. Acetylcholine supports focus, mind-muscle connection, reaction time, and cognitive sharpness during training. At 200mg, Alpha-GPC is dosed meaningfully.

Lion's Mane Mushroom (75mg) is a functional mushroom traditionally used for cognitive support, and now studied for its potential role in nerve growth factor (NGF) stimulation. Its inclusion alongside Alpha-GPC adds a nootropic dimension that goes beyond standard stimulant-based focus.

Cordyceps (75mg) is a performance-oriented functional mushroom with a research history in supporting aerobic capacity, oxygen utilisation, and endurance. It's a natural complement to the citrulline and beta-alanine endurance stack.

Huperzine A (50mcg) — extracted from Huperzia serrata moss — is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. It works by slowing the breakdown of acetylcholine in the brain, which extends and amplifies the focus effect delivered by Alpha-GPC. It's a well-regarded nootropic inclusion that adds meaningful synergy to the cognitive stack.

Cocoa Extract / Theobromine (25mg) contributes a mild, long-duration stimulant effect distinct from caffeine — theobromine is a vasodilator and mood-supportive compound that adds smoothness to the overall energy feel.

Patented performance compounds

S7® (50mg) is a patented blend of seven plant-based ingredients — green coffee bean, green tea, turmeric, tart cherry, blueberry, broccoli, and kale — shown in research to increase endogenous nitric oxide production by up to 230% at this dose. It works on a different pathway to citrulline, making the two genuinely complementary.

Senactiv® (25mg) is a patented blend of Panax notoginseng and Rosa roxburghii extracts that has been studied for its ability to support cellular energy renewal, reduce inflammation markers in working muscle, and promote glycogen replenishment. It's an endurance and recovery compound that adds meaningful value in longer or more demanding sessions.

Juniper Berry Extract (50mg) — from Juniperus communis — provides diuretic and antioxidant support, and has traditional use in supporting kidney function and reducing water retention.

Who is it for?

Pre Lift is suited to experienced gym-goers and serious lifters who want a complete pre-workout solution — energy, pump, endurance, focus, and hydration covered in a single, well-dosed scoop. The multi-source caffeine system makes it a better option for longer sessions where sustained performance matters more than a quick initial spike. Due to the high total caffeine content, it is not suited to caffeine-sensitive individuals, those new to pre-workouts, or anyone who trains late in the evening.

Directions:

Mix one scoop with 240–360ml of cold water. Consume approximately 20–30 minutes before training. Do not exceed one serve per day. Assess tolerance before use.
